Documents let your AI answer questions that aren’t in your product catalog: shipping policies, warranty terms, sizing guides, FAQs from your old help center, anything.
Find it in your dashboard under AI Knowledge → Documents.

What you can add

  • PDFs: upload a PDF file (text only, images are skipped). Max 10 MB.
  • Website: give Molin a URL and it will find and add all the sub-pages (like a blog).
  • Sitemap: give Molin a sitemap.xml link and it will add every page in it.
  • Specific web pages: paste a list of URLs you want to add.
Each document can hold up to 100,000 characters.

How it works

  1. Add a PDF or some URLs.
  2. Molin reads the text. This takes a few minutes for new documents.
  3. When a customer asks a question, the AI looks through your documents and uses the most relevant parts to answer.

Best practices

  • One topic per document. A 200-page PDF that covers ten different topics will give worse answers than ten short documents that each cover one topic.
  • Use clear titles so you can find them later. Try “Return policy 2026” instead of “doc_final_v3”.
  • Keep them up to date. Old documents lead to wrong answers. Delete what no longer applies.
  • Don’t upload your full product list. Use the product feed for that. Documents are for things like policies and guides.
