# Websites without a product catalog

> Run a service, a SaaS, or any site with nothing to sell? Set up Molin from your website alone, with no product feed or shop platform.

If your business has no product catalog, such as an agency, a SaaS product, a clinic, or a restaurant, you can still add a Molin assistant to your website. It answers visitors from your website's pages and the documents you add, instead of from a product catalog.

## Set up your assistant

Start by creating a Molin account or just click [here](https://molin.ai/shop-ai/setup).

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick Something else">
    When Molin asks **What kind of business do you have?**, pick **Something else**, then click **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your website">Type your website's address, for example `https://my-website.com/`, then click **Scan my website**. You don't need a sitemap or a product feed.</Step>

  <Step title="Customize your assistant">
    Once you see **Brilliant!**, click **Customize my AI** to name your assistant.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What your assistant learns from

* **Your homepage**: Molin reads it when your assistant is created.
* **Your policy pages**: if your website publishes a sitemap, Molin also adds up to 15 pages from it that look like policies, such as your terms, privacy, or FAQ pages.
* **Anything you add later**: add more pages, PDFs, or a whole sitemap under [Documents](/home/knowledge/documents), and write common answers under [FAQs](/home/knowledge/faqs).

## How it differs from a shop assistant

* Molin doesn't scan your website for products, so there is no product scan to wait for.
* Your assistant never searches or recommends products.
* Your dashboard has no **Products** page under **AI Knowledge**, because there is no catalog to manage.

<Note>
  Picked **E-commerce shop** instead? Your assistant learns your products from your [shop platform](/home/platforms/shopify), a [product feed](/home/general/product-feeds), or the [AI sitemap
  scraper](/home/platforms/ai-sitemap-scraper).
